- Only fly-fishing equipment is allowed.
- No additives, bait or scent to be used on the fly or fly line.
- Do not catch and release on the heat of the day.
- Do not put a bleeding fish back in the water; a bleeding fish is a dead fish.
- Use only barbless hooks, in fact a barbless hook penetrates the fish much easier and to release it, is very quick. R 175.00per KG,
- Chef Tom will gut and clean the Trout for you at R 20.00 per Trout.
- Please do not Clean and Gut the Trout yourselves unless you have informed the reception of the weight of the Trout.
- Land your fish quickly; do not exhaust it, unless you want to keep it.
- Fish that were caught in deep waters must be retrieved slowly to allow it to adjust to pressure changes.
- Leave the fish in the water (if possible) and do not handle it.
- Use a tool (forceps or a Ketchum release) to remove the hook.
- Fish may only be released if caught on the lips, not in the throat or gills.
- Keep the fish from thrashing around.
- Net the fish only if it can’t be controlled in any other way.
